(A)_Programme_of_Study

(i)_Admission_to_Ph.D._programme_in_Nanoscience_NNSH_(908)_(Through_JNU_Entrance_Test)

Suitable_courses_may_be_prescribed_for_candidates_admitted_to_the_Ph.D._programme.

Candidates_selected_are_required_to_undergo_Ph.D._course_work_as_per_UGC_regulations_2016.

 

(ii)_M.Tech._in_Nanoscience/_Nanoelectronics

M._Tech._Degree_Credit_Requirements:_No_student_admitted_to_the_program_shall_be_eligible_for_the_award_of_M.Tech._degree_unless_he/she_completes_88_credits_in_all_out_of_which_at_least_52_credits_shall_be_for_course_work_and_36_credits_for_the_minor_project/dissertation_and_final_presentation._Students_securing_minimum_CGPA_required_as_per_ordinance_will_be_eligible_for_the_award_of_M.Tech._degree.

(B)_Eligibility_for_Admission

(i)_Admission_to_Ph.D._programme_in_Nanoscience

Candidates_shall_be_considered_for_admission_to_the_Ph.D._programme_on_the_following_basis:

(a)_Obtained_M.Phil_Degree_with_55%_marks_of_a_recognized_University/Institution_with_one_publication_and_Master’s_Degree/BE/B.Tech_with_55%_marks_or_equivalent_Grade_‘B’_in_UGC_7-point_scale_(or_an_equivalent_Grade_in_a_point_scale_wherever_Grading_system_is_followed).

OR

(b)_Master’s_degree_in_the_relevant_field_with_55%_marks_of_a_recognized_University/Institution_or_equivalent_Grade_‘B’_in_UGC_7-point_scale_(or_an_equivalent_Grade_in_a_point_scale_wherever_Grading_system_is_followed).

Relaxation_to_SC/ST/OBC_(Non_creamy_layer)/Differently_abled_as_per_the_UGC_Regulations_2016.

 

(ii)_M.Tech._in_Nanoscience;_NNST_(182)

Eligibility_for_Admission:_Master_Degree_in_any_branch_of_Science,_or_B.E/B.Tech_in_any_branch_of_engineering_&_Technology_with_55%_marks.

 

(iii)_M.Tech._in_Nanoelectronics;_NNET(190)

Eligibility_for_Admission:_B.E./B.Tech_in_Electronics_&_Communication/Electrical_Engineering_or_M.Sc._Electronics_with_55%_marks.

The_admission_to_M.Tech_program_will_be_based_on_an_All_India_Examination,_conducted_by_the_University_at_different_centres_spread_all_over_the_country,_followed_by_an_interview._M.Tech_student_have_to_work_in_the_chosen_field_under_the_guidance_of_a_faculty_for_the_Minor_and_the_Major_project_and_has_to_submit_a_dissertation_at_the_end_of_the_fourth_semester._The_students_will_be_encouraged_to_work_in_an_industry_or_research_institution_for_their_Major_Project.

The_courses_designed_this_program_are_well_organized_to_provide_a_wide_spectrum_of_choices_to_the_students._The_faculty_and_the_student’s_interests_include_a_wide_area._Elective_courses_in_NS_and_NE_allow_the_students_to_choose_a_particular_field_according_to_their_areas_of_interest.

Admission_will_be_though_entrance_examination._Candidates_must_appear_in_the_written_examination_conducted_by_the_University._Based_on_the_written_test,_short-listed_candidates_will_have_to_appear_in_the_interview._Admission_is_offered_to_candidates_finally_selected_on_thebasis_of_their_performance_in_the_written_test_and_the_interview.
