Law_and_Technology_Research_at_the_Centre_for_the_Study_of_Law_and_Governance_(CSLG),_JNU

 

CSLG_comprises_of_ten_faculty_members_drawn_from_law,_sociology,_political_science,_economics_and_social_work._It_runs_a_PhD_program_on_law_and_governance._The_Centre_adopts_a_multidisciplinary_approach_to_framing_research_and_teaching_on_the_relationship_between_law_and_governance._The_study_of_governance,_in_its_various_forms_and_at_different_sites,_is_central_to_several_contemporary_issues:_the_reform_of_public_institutions_and_public_law;_the_creation_and_establishment_of_procedures_and_rules_that_lead_to_greater_efficiency,_transparency,_and_accountability;_and_the_challenge_of_making_governance_more_inclusive_and_participatory_through_the_strengthening_of_democracy_and_civil_society. 

 

The_Law_and_Technology_Research_Group_(LTRG)_includes_faculty_members_and_research_scholars_in_CSLG_who_work_on_various_public_policy_and_governance_aspects_of_technologies._The_two_primary_activities_of_the_group_are_hosting_a_Law_and_Tech_Conversation_Series_(EXALT)_and_undertaking_legislative_and_policy_analysis.

  EXALT_(Exchanges_on_Law_Technology_and_Society)

 

EXALT_is_a_conversation_series_where_we_invite_various_speakers_from_academia_to_discuss_the_societal_and_legal_implications_of_technology._The_series_started_in_2021_with_the_aim_of_engaging_with_people_working_in_different_disciplines_related_to_law,_technology_and_policy_and_the_sessions_have_featured_scholars_working_on_disinformation,_data_justice_and_digital_rights,_smart_cities_and_AI_research.      Till_now_we_have_hosted_the_following_events:
