School_of_Computer_&_Systems_Sciences_(SC&SS)_is_one_of_the_earliest_centres_of_education_in_the_field_of_Computer_Science_in_the_country._The_School_is_among_one_of_the_few_that_started_MCA_and_M.Tech._programmes_in_Computer_Science_in_the_country._Recently,_a_new_M.Tech._programme_in_Data_Science_has_been_introduced_in_the_School_to_cater_to_the_requirements_of_the_changing_world_of_technology.
Even_when_the_field_of_Computer_Science_was_in_the_nascent_stage,_this_school_envisioned_the_role_of_Computer_Science_in_allied_areas_thus_naming_the_school_as_School_of_Computer_and_Systems_Sciences_with_a_focus_on_both_Computer_Science_and_Allied_Sciences_in_teaching_and_research._The_teaching_methodology_ensures_that_the_spectrum_of_courses_covers_all_the_major_domains_while_encouraging_critical_thinking_in_the_students._The_curriculum_emphasizes_on_fundamental_concepts_further_leading_to_advance_topics._We_have_the_faculty_members_involved_in_research_in_almost_all_the_major_areas_of_Computer_Science_and_Microsystems_aimed_at_encouraging_out_of_box_thinking_and_nurturing_new_ideas_and_approaches._The_research_publications_and_projects_assigned_vouch_for_the_deep_rooted_research_strength_of_the_school._The_teaching_activity_of_the_School_is_further_strengthened_by_the_research_focus_of_the_school_in_enriching_the_curriculum_of_the_programme_continuously_to_provide_students_the_state-_ of_art_knowledge_relevant_to_both_industries_and_academics.
The_success_of_MCA,_M.Tech._and_PhD_programmes_is_evident_from_the_large_number_of_applicants_appearing_in_the_entrance_examination_across_the_country._The_placement_of_students_within_the_country_and_abroad_further_adds_to_its_success.
