C._Financial_Support
Financial_resources_needed_to_establish_IPM_cell_would_initially_be_provided_out_of_the_funds_granted_under_the_University_with_Potential_for_Excellence_Scheme_or_out_of_the_funds_which_may_be_sanctioned_by_University_Grants_Commission_in_future_Five_Year_Plans._Additionally,_the_patent_filing_costs_could_be_met_from_any_of_the_following_sources.

Through_external_agencies_like_NRDC,_TIFAC,_BCIL_etc.
Some_of_the_funding_agencies_sanction_grants_only_on_the_condition_that_the_technology_developed_as_a_result_of_the_project_funded_by_them_will_belong_to_them._In_that_case_the_inventor_has_to_follow_the_conditions_laid_down_by_the_funding_agency.
D._Benefit_Sharing
Universities_the_world_over_have_acknowledge_the_claims_of_academic_creators_to_have_some_share_in_the_income_derived_from_the_technology_transfer._The_revenue_received_as_a_result_of_patents_in_the_form_of_cash_royalties_and/or_equity_shall_be_distributed_in_such_a_manner_as_to_encourage_technology_development_and_its_transfer.
Proposed_Benefit_Sharing_-_The_benefits_received_by_the_University_on_account_of_technology_transfer_in_a_year_shall_be_shared_between_inventor’s_team_and_the_University_as_per_Resolution_No._6.17_of_EC_meeting_held_on_16.10.2003[Notification_No._Acad_II/U/13(7)_dated_10.02.2004]_in_the_following_manner:
(i)_money_received_upto_30%_of _No_Sharing
the_gross_salary_(basic+DA+CCA)
(ii)_money_received_beyond_30% _70:30_between_the_inventor’s_team
and_upto_the_gross_salary _and_the_University
(iii)_money_received_beyond _50:50_between_the_inventor’s_team
gross_salary _and_the_University
E._Conflict_of_Interest_and_its_Settlement

NRDC_and_IPM_CELL_JNU_Sign_MOU
The_Intellectual_Property_Management_(IPM)_Cell_of_JNU_signed_a_MOU_with_National_Research_Development_Corporation_(NRDC), _an_autonomous_unit_of_Department_of_Science_and_Technology,_Ministry_of_Science_and_Technology,_GOI_on_29th_May_2017._It_was_signed_by _the_NRDC_Chairman_and_Managing_Director,_Dr._H._Purushotham_and _Prof._H._B._Bohidar,_Chairperson,_IPM_Cell,_JNU._This_MOU_will_facilitate_commercialization_of_JNU_patents_for_which_NRDC_will_provide_the_necessary_platform._In_addition,_they_have_agreed_to_host_our_patents_on_the_International_Patent_Exchange_in_Hong_Kong_that_will_provide_global_visibility_to_JNU_patents._This_MOU_will_remain_in_force_for_five_years.
