Mission
To_provide_scientific_and_technical_facilities_to_the_students,_researchers_and_teachers_of_the_university_through_design_and_development_of_scientific_instruements,_gadgets_and_by_conducting_academic_programmes_for _relavant_sections_of_the_university/ies_and_colleges.
Objectives:
The_objectives_of_USIC_have_been_broadly_identified_as_follows:_To_acquire_and_develop_skill_for_preventive_maintenance_and_repairs_of_sophisticated_instruments_and_to_offer_this_expertise_to_other_laboratories,_as_and_when_desired.
To_organize_short_term_courses/workshops_on_the_use_and_application_of_various_instruments_for_the_benefit_of_research_scholars,_teachers_and_personnel_from_other_laboratories,_universities_and_industries.
To_train_technicians_for_maintenance_and_operation_of_sophisticated_instruments.
To_design_and_fabricate_sophisticated_instruments,_their_spare_parts_and_also_undertake_research_and_development_of_instruments_as_per_the_users_requirements_through_project_support.
To_participate_in_teaching_of_formal_courses_on_instrumentation,_conducted_by_other_departments/agencies.
To_provide_consultancy_service_in_instrumentation_to_industry/Govt._departments/other_instiutions.
To_carry_out_analysis_of_samples_received_from_scientists_working_in_universities,_research_institutions_and_industry.
To_provide_facilities_to_scientists_to_carry_out_measurements_on_sophisticated_instruments_not_available_in_their_own_institutions.
