The_Ministry_of_Education,_Government_of_India,_funds_a_program_titled_ Global_Initiative_of_Academic_Networks_(GIAN) that_is_aimed_at_tapping_the_international_talent_pool_of_eminent_faculty_members,_scientists_and_entrepreneurs_and_to_encourage_their_engagement_with_the_institutes_of_Higher_Education_in_India_so_as_to_augment_the_country's_existing_academic_resources,_accelerate_the_pace_of_quality_reform,_and_elevate_India's_scientific_and_technological_capacity_to_global_excellence.Since_its_inception_in_2016,_GIAN-JNU_has_conducted_over_35_Courses.Please_note_that_GIAN_Phase-4_calls_are_open_now._Please_visit_https://jnu.ac.in/gian_for_more_information.In_brief,_8000_US_dollars_(for_12-14_lecture_hours_in_5_day_duration)_and_12000_US_dollars_(24-28_hours_in_10_day_duration)_will_be_paid_for_each_course_to_support_(i)_travel_and_honorarium_for_the_foreign_faculty_(ii)_honorarium_for_the_host_faculty_(iii)_video_recording_(iv)_incidental/contingency_expenses.Attached,_please_find_necessary_documents_for_submitting_a_GIAN_proposal._Please_send_an_e-mail_to_gian@jnu.ac.in_so_that_a_proposal_upload_link_can_be_sent_to_you._Note_that_GIAN_courses_with_integrated_MOOC_component_will_have_higher_priority_towards_acceptance,_but_it_is_not_mandatory_to_have_a_MOOC_component.It_is_better_that_proposals_from_JNU_are_submitted_within_three_weeks._Colleagues_who_submitted_a_proposal_in_2019_(that_were_not_sent_for_review_due_to_the_pandemic)_may_please_resubmit_the_proposal_with_updated_consent_letter_from_the_foreign_faculty.
