Reaching_out_to_University_Alumni:_JNU_is_proud_to_have_as_its_alumni_a_collective_of_more_than_80,000_social_scientists,_scientists_civil_servants,_literary_critics,_media_experts,_foreign_language_experts,_journalists,_political_leaders,_social_activists,_technologists,_managers_and_entrepreneurs_over_the_last_35_years_and_more._This_number_will_continue_to_grow._The_University_has_established_a_Standing_committee_for_Alumni_Relations_and_International_Linkages_(SCRAIL)_under_the_chairmanship_of_the_Vice-Chancellor_since_2003._Currently,_Prof._Neera_Bhalla_Sarin_is_the_Chief_Advisor,_Alumni_Affairs.
SCARIL_aims_to_foster_stronger_relations_between_its_alumni_and_others_connected_with_the_University._JNU_recognizes_its_alumni_as_important_stakeholders_in_its_continuing_quest_to_provide_excellent_education._It_realises_the_enormous_benefits_that_can_come_from_the_engagement_and_support_of_its_alumni_who_have_considerable_expertise_in_many_areas_and_can_help_identify_strategic_directions_for_JNU_in_the_21st_century.
