Sanskrit_Literature_is_to_be_viewed_as_records_of_cultural_history_of_India_of_over_five_thousand_years._It_encompasses_within_it_a_number_of_disciplines_such_as,_Grammar,_Linguistics,_Philosophy,_Logic,_Aesthetics,_Arts,_Discourse_Analysis_and_so_on,_related_to_various_aspects_of_human_life_and_accumulated_through_a_long_span_of_time._It_is_necessary_that_our_students_come_to_be_acquainted_with_the_contributions_of_our_heritage_in_various_domains_of_knowledge_so_that_they_get_further_opportunity_to_derive_insights_into_respective_disciplines.

To_achieve_this_goal,_therefore,_all_the_courses_for_M.A.and_M.Phil./Ph.D_have_been_prepared_with_inter-disciplinary_and_multi-disciplinary_approaches.

This_course_is_based_on_the_UGC_report_of_CDC_in_Sanskrit;_hence,_there_will_be_content-wise_uniformity_with_the_Graduate,_Post-Graduate_and_M.Phil._programmes_in_Sanskrit_which_are_currently_offered_in_all_the_Universities_in_our_country.

Each_course_is_designed_in_such_a_way_that_the_students_get_acquainted_with_the_span_of_Sanskrit_literature_on_a_particular_domain_of_knowledge,_the_content_of_it,_the_researches_done_on_it_so_far,_and_the_relevance_of_such_knowledge_within_the_ambit_of_current_modern_domains_of_knowledge_and_scholarship._This_will_generate_confidence_in_the_students_so_that_they_can_take_part_in_contemporary_discourses.

These_courses_cover_major_knowledge_domains_of_Sanskrit_Intellectual_traditions.

The_contents_of_Pali_and_Prakrit_are_also_incorporated_in_these_courses_wherever_necessary.

These_courses_will_be_open_to_all,_even_to_such_students_who_do_not_have_any_background_in_the_Sanskrit_Language._However,_such_students_without_relevant_Sanskrit_background_will_have_to_do_additional_Bridge_Courses_to_be_offered_by_the_Centre_in_order_to_bridge_the_gap.
