A_unique_feature_of_the_CSDE_is_that_it_offers_a_site_for_research_in_collaboration_with_faculty_of_the_School_of_Social_Science._Faculty_within_the_school_has_taken_a_lead_in_carrying_out_research_projects._This_has_facilitated_the_growth_of_a_rich_body_of_research_that_is_informed_by_multi_–_disciplinary_perspectives._A_number_of_research_projects_focusing_on_Scheduled_Castes,_Scheduled_Tribes_and_Minorities_have_been_carried_out_on_a_range_of_themes_such_as_labour_market_discrimination,_segregation_in_housing,_discrimination_in_maternal_and_child_care,_poverty,_urban_poverty_ethnic_prejudices,_ghettoisation,_marginalization_of_minority_communities_and_socio-econimic_transformation_of_tribes._Two_working_papers_based_on_project_reports_have_been_published:_(a)_Caste_and_community_based_labour_market_discrimination:_A_pilot_study_in_Noida_and_(b)_Mapping_the_socio-economic_status_of_Indian_Muslims:_A_Factual_Analysis. Publications_CSDE Library_and_Documentation_CentreThe_Centre_has_provided_with_a_spacious_library_having_a_rich_collection_of_more_than_a_thousand_books_on_themes_relating_to_discrimination_and_exclusion._The_centre_has_created_a_data_base_on_the_social_and_economic_condition_of_Scheduled_Castes,_Scheduled_Tribes_and_Minorities._A_number_of_CDs_on_Census_data_have_been_purchased_and_kept_in_a_depository_in_the_CSSEIP_for_use_by_researchers._An_annotated_bibliography_has_been_prepared_by_the_centre_on_different_aspects_of_discrimination_and_exclusion_for_the_use_of_researchers.
