The_network_links_22_buildings_and_some_teachers,_students,_and_support_staff_with_access_to_voice,_data,_multimedia,_and_videoconferencing_services_as_well_as_e-learning,_research,_and_business_applications._The_new_standard_for_next-generation_wireless_technology._Although_the_benefits_of_increased_coverage_and_faster_data_transfer_speeds_had_obvious_appeal,_the_university_needed_to_find_a_way_to_protect_its_existing_wireless_investment._This_investment_included_270_Cisco_access_points_and_associated_WLAN_controllers._The_mixed_campus_environment_also_presented_an_additional_challenge_in_helping_ensure_that_slower_802.11a/b/g_equipment_did_not_limit_the_performance_of_any_new_802.11n_devices_being_installed.

UCMC_-_University_Computer_Maintenance_Cell_

University_Computer_Maintenance_Cell_under_CIS_is_to_provide_hardware_and_software_support_to_the_desktop_users_of_the_university.

UCMC_is_situated_at_the_back_side_of_the_Central_LIbrary_building._Technical_support_is_available_between_09:00am-05:30pm_from_Monday_to_Friday_(except_holidays)_at_2670-4133.

Video_Conferencing_facilities_are_provided_by_CIS_in_the_Hall_No._2_of_Lecture_Hall_Complex._The_facility_consists_of_a_Sony_PCS-1_video_conferencing_system_which_provides_the_latest_in_conferencing_technology_and_Sony_Bravia_line_of_high-performance_46”_LCD_TV_as_monitor_and_2_Mbps_bandwidth_connectivity_dedicated_for_the_purpose._This_Video_Conferencing_equipment_is_installed_in_a_studio-like_environment_with_sound_proofing_and_Air_Conditioning_facilities.

This_videoconferencing_facility_of_JNU_can_be_utilised_by_all_the_Schools/Centres_by_sending_a_written_application_addressed_to_the_Director_(CIS)_mentioning_the_purpose,_date_and_time_(IST),_name_of_the_institution_and_the_IP_address_of_their_equipment._By_using_this_facility_a_few_Video_conferencing_sessions_have_already_been_arranged_with_some_institutions_such_as_CDAC_(Pune)_and_SBRI,_USA.

*_Skype/Zoom/JioMeet/GoogleMeet_Id_of_the_host_and_Interviews/Examiners *_Laptop_with_HDMI_Cable_or_Desktop_with_Webcam
