SLS Achievements

SLS_have_always_been_an_active_hub_of_diverse_research_activities._Several_national_and_international_research_grants_(DBT,_DST_and_UGC,_and_many_international_agencies)_have_been_secured_by_faculties_and_students_of_SLS_which_aids_in_doing_cutting_edge_research_and_publications_in_highly_reputed_journals._The_innovative_ideas_lead_to_the_long_list_of_patents_added_to_the_name_of_SLS.

Special_Recognitions:
Recognitions_from_both_the_government_of_India_and_significant_scientific_societies_outside_the_country_have_been_a_matter_of_regular_occurrence._SLS_have_laurels_with_Padma_Awards,_Bhatnagar_awards,_JC_Bose_fellows,_elected_members_of_National_and_International_academies_and_peer_reviewers_and_editors_of_several_national_and_international_journals.
Other_awards_and_fellowships: 
Not_only_the_faculties,_but_the_profile_of_SLS_students_is_enriched_with_the_tag_of_prestigious_awards_like_INSA_young_scientists,_INSPIRE,_Khothari,_Ramanujan,_Ramalingaswami_and_other_prestigious_post-doctoral_fellowships._We_take_pride_in_sharing_the_fact_that_our_students_have_been_placed_in_IITs,_Central/State_Universities,_pharma_Industry_and_not_to_miss_the_Indian_civil_services. 
Research_Accomplishment: 
To_stay_ahead_with_ever_changing_and_dynamic_research_area,_a_common_platform_for_brainstorming_session,_one_to_one_interaction_and_to_have_a_broad_networking_profile,_several_conferences,_workshops_have_been_organized_by_JNU._Emphasis_was_also_given_to_the_impart_skills_to_young,_budding_scientists_through_annual_events_of_SLS_like_summer_school,_winter_school_programs_and_hands-on_training_on_several_topics_per_semester._Students_from_all_over_India_are_selected_for_SLS_outreach_program_“summer/winter_school”_based_on_the_merit_and_research_proposal.  _  __   Academic_and_cultural_activities: 
Annual_events_like_Biosparks_were_solely_managed_and_convened_by_the_SLS_students_with_major_support_coming_from_the_School's_resources._It_includes_oral_presentations,_panel_discussions_and_research_proposals_in_addition_to_the_invited_lectures_by_scientists._The_main_theme_of_this_event_is_to_promote_an_interactive_spirit_among_distinguished_scientists_and_student_researchers. Spandan_is_another_annual_event_organized_by_the_students_once_a_year._It’s_a_cultural_event_which_gives_the_students_an_opportunity_to_display_their_talents_in_poetry,_dramatics_and_other_similar_tasks.
