School_of_Environmental_Sciences_(SES)_was_established_in_1974_and_is_the_first_of_its_kind_institute_in_Jawaharlal_Nehru_University_too_keep_environmental_curriculum_at_the_forefront_by_initiating_innovation,_fundamental,_inter-disciplinary_and_multi-disciplinary_courses_that_meet_the_needs_of_the_society_by_integrating_the_physical,_geological,_chemical_and_biological_aspects_of_the_environment.Vision
To_achieve_leadership_through_excellence_in_research_and_innovation_by_providing_quality_education_to_address_environmental_challenges_for_the_sustainable_management_of_earth_systems.Mission- •_Impart_high_quality_education_and_research_in_the_environmental_sciences_to_improve_the_quality_of_life.
- •_To_empower_researchers_from_diverse_disciplines_to_work_together_to_solve_pressing_environmental_challenges_in_collaboration_with_concerned_agencies_to_ensure_sustainability_of_eco-environmental_systems.

- •_Aligning_research_in_accordance_with_the_appropriate_themes_of_the_sustainable_development_goals_(SDGs)_and_other_national_and_global_pressing_environmental_interests.
As_a_Dean_of_SES,_I_actively_play_my_role_to_facilitate_students_to_become_best_academicians,_researchers_and_policy_makers._I_provide_diverse_and_inclusive_work_environment_to_my_colleagues_and_driving_them_wherever_necessary_to_play_a_role_in_getting_utmost_national_and_international_agencies_support_to_the_school._A_collaborative_and_integrated_approach_towards_teaching,_learning_and_research_will_be_emphasized._I_strongly_believe_that_the_SES_faculty_will_overcome_the_constraints_facing_to_deliver_the_best_scientific_services_to_the_society_and_reach_the_desired_goals.
